Recurring routines

Every recurring day gets its own page

Set a schedule once, and each day it fires arrives as its own dated checklist. Done is done, a missed day just waits, and the record builds itself.

A page per day, not a row that nags

Each scheduled day becomes its own occurrence with its own checklist and state. Dismiss this week's gutter-clearing; next quarter's is untouched. Nothing rolls forward into a guilt pile, and no single row overwrites its own history.

This month's page is yours to shape

One day sometimes needs more or less than the routine: this month's home reset also needs the storm-door fix, and the guest-room step can sit this one out. "Add to this run" and "Remove from this run" adjust this run alone — the routine itself is untouched, and the next run starts from the full list.

Cadences that match real upkeep

Six schedule rule types you can mix inside one schedule: every Tuesday, the 1st and the 15th, the last Friday of the month, every second Thursday, the first Saturday of January, April, July, and October. If the furnace filter and the gutters run on different clocks, so can their schedules.

Recurring-first, not reminder-first

Routines are first-class; items live inside them. The occasional standalone one-off — an appointment you can't miss — still drops onto Today from the quick-add, but there's no inbox of them to triage every morning.

Two prioritization views a to-do list doesn't have

The 1-3-5 Load gauge shows at a glance whether today is over- or under-committed, and the impact/effort Priority Board surfaces the quick wins. (There's an urgency grid too — but that's the table-stakes one.)

A record, not a streak

Patterns reads back how reliably you actually keep a routine — your most-dependable weekday, your real completion rate — and dismissed days never count against you. There's no streak to break; the record just gets richer the longer you stay.

Big jobs, one session at a time

Make a long job — a room-by-room declutter, a renovation punch-list — a Project, and each session draws the next few items off the queue. Dismiss one and it waits for you; nothing punishes the day you skip.

No productivity tax

Zero journaling, zero logging, zero setup ceremony. Open the app, see today's list. That's it.
